For Our Friends from Japan: Osaka-zu byobu
Published on 14 March 2019
If you are from Japan you might be interested that Graz is home to a historic and artistic treasure that originated in 17th century Japan. It consists of 8 panels of a folding screen depicting the cityscape of Osaka during the Toyotomi period. Today it is part of a wall decoration in Schloss Eggenberg within the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in Graz. You can read the Japanese information from Osaka or the English information, which has more pictures. One more good reason to visit Graz and join INTERSPEECH 2019!
